The Rev. Kymberley Clemons (KC) Jones

The Rev. Kymberley Clemons (KC) Jones was called to ministry in 1998, shortly after beginning a graduate program in Educational Counseling.  During her counseling program she felt a vacuum in her spirit and in her line of work and soon realized that in order for her to really help people she would need to introduce the importance of spiritual care to her clients.  After praying over this new direction, Rev. KC understood this was a call into gospel ministry and she would be a voice for God through a preaching and counseling ministry.  After finishing her graduate program in counseling, Rev. KC immediately entered seminary to pursue God’s call on her life.  Rev. KC was ordained in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, first an itinerant deacon in 2002, and later an itinerant elder in 2005; the same year she would graduate from Seminary.

Rev. KC currently serves as Senior Pastor of Valley Stream Presbyterian Church in Valley Stream, New York and has been a member of the Long Island Presbytery since 2008.   Rev. KC is a loving and nurturing pastor to both her parishioners and to those who have come to work under her leadership in ministry.  She believes she is obligated to share her many experiences in ministry with students who are willing to put in the hard work required to become ministers of the gospel.

Rev. KC is also the Executive Director of KCJones Coaching Services, where she coaches individuals and groups in the areas of spiritual and/or personal life, health and wellness, leadership and marriage coaching, as well as grief and counseling issues of domestic violence.  Through her coaching practice, Rev. KC offers a personalized regimen of counseling, coaching and spiritual discipline techniques that are rarely found in other forms of coaching.    KCJones Coaching Services also facilitates workshops at churches, schools and social service agencies on various issues concerning the lives of individual and families within their communities.  Close to her heart is the issue of domestic violence.  With over 10 years of experience in the field, Rev. KC has provided clinical counseling to victims of domestic violence and supervision to clinicians at an emergency domestic violence shelter (1999-2004).  She continues to facilitate individual counseling sessions for individual survivors and group workshops and training on domestic violence prevention.

Rev. KC has worked extensively in academia with her work as Associate Dean for Student Life at Union Theological Seminary (2005-2009), where she recruited seminary students and oversaw the quality of student life through counseling, coaching and educational advisement on personal, spiritual, and vocational matters and as the Instructor of Integrated Studies (2006-2009).   She was able to hone her unique skills and knowledge of ministry, counseling and coaching during this time.

Rev. KC’s background is varied and she has received numerous awards and honors throughout her working years.  Rev. KC was honored to be a part of a delegation to Vietnam and Cambodia with the American Counseling Association to discuss the field of counseling and ways of introducing and expanding the field of counseling in those areas.  She was also featured in an article called “Women Doing it All: How four women balance marriage, family, and career" in Positive Community Magazine.  Rev. KC is also the Founder of the Community Healing and Caring Center Inc. a non-profit organization, focused on family cohesion, community building and restoration.

KC is an contributing author of the book "From A Window: Discovery".  You can also find Rev. KC Jones on Facebook under “KCJones "Restoration" Coaching Services,” where she submits daily coaching advice.
